pumpkin patch visit unlike any other.

A lot was the same as other years – we got to do some of our favorite pumpkin patch activities. We wandered through the corn maze (which had some fun activities for the kids), we ate delicious apple cider donuts and we picked our favorite pumpkins (though, one of us was upset we couldn’t bring home her favorite moldy pumpkin). But it was still a very different experience, much like the rest of things this year. We all wore masks, used a lot of hand sanitizer and kept our distance from others. Still, we all had a fun time and no one complained about wearing a mask (though, they actually never do).

first day of at home kindergarten.

I don’t think I ever thought I would have said those words about my firstborn going into her first year of school, but life surprises you. Here is what I wrote on her actual first day:

It was her first day of Kindergarten today and we began a new adventure! She is doing remote learning at home and she is so excited to start kindergarten. It might be a crazy rollercoaster, but she is ready for anything and I know she’ll do great! So proud of this girl 💖
