welcome lila.

Baby sister is here! She was born on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 4:22pm weighing 8lbs 8oz, 20.5″ long. Things started off a little slow, but once we got going to the hospital things progressed very quickly. Very. One of my first thoughts when I first saw her was that she looks so much like her sister Ellie did as a newborn. It’s been a bit of a deja vu especially with her wearing a lot of Ellie’s old clothes. We love her so much and I still can’t believe we’re a family of four now. Introducing Lila Everly…

When Ellie met her sister for the first time my heart exploded. Her face lit up as soon as she walked in the room. I’ve never seen her smile like that. I’m only sad I didn’t get a photo of it.

no longer the baby.

This was the last picture I took of my first baby before her sister was born. We had a long day of fun and she refused to nap, but as soon as 5:30pm rolled around she asked to get cozy on the couch and instantly fell asleep. This almost never happens because she’s the type that won’t just fall asleep anywhere – or on her own for that matter! It was such a sweet and endearing moment of her looking a little less like a big kid that I couldn’t help but let her take her very late nap.
