a day at the park.

We’ve had so much rain (I know, surprising, right? 😊), but we had this one amazing sunny, warm Monday and we took full advantage and went to the park. Ellie wanted to try a new park so I found one I had been eyeing. It did not disappoint. It’s called Rhododendron Park so it has some beautiful flowers, but I did not know it was lined with cherry blossom trees. The Rhododendrons hadn’t fully bloomed yet so we’ll have to go back. We had so much fun. Ellie ran literally everywhere and Lila was happy to be walking around outside. We had a picnic, went exploring and played. It was one of those days I’ll always remember. Nothing particularly special. Just a really good day where everyone was happy and having fun. I took a lot of pictures so I will split this up and save the cherry blossoms for another post ;).

11 months.

I suppose since she’s going to be one in four days I should probably post her 11 month photos already… these were hard to take, haha. Sometimes I push the photos on her even when she’s not in the mood because I don’t know when I’ll get another chance and it’s just hard to get her picture anymore. But, I still wanted to get some since that’s what I’ve done each month…

Happy 11 months, Lila! We’ve reached the stage where you know what you want and try to tell us and we do the best we can to understand. It’s amazing how quickly they pick up on things. This girl is a full-on walker now (has been for a few weeks 😳) and loves exploring and getting into everything she shouldn’t. She loves waving, blowing kisses, pointing and is still obsessed with being chased and playing peek-a-boo. She has a love affair with black beans and the only veggie she will generally eat is green beans. She loves bathroom hangs 🙄 and still loves dance parties. She has the cutest quirks, squeals and the cheesiest smile. We just love her to pieces!

The sun came out for a few minutes and she loves being outside so we switched it up a bit and went outside for a few photos
